A ROADEO is a bus driver road course competition that tests a transit driver's skills in various areas like wheel chair loading and securement, pre-trip inspections, driving ability and most ROADEO's include a written test. The ROADEO is also a great opportunity for drivers to network with other drivers and grow as transit professionals. The URSTA Transit Roadeo is an opportunity for drivers to gain recognition for their driving skills. While there are awards for the top finishers, winning is not the primary reason for this competition. The URSTA Roadeo is an opportunity to test your limits, meet others in the profession and, above all, have a good time. ROADEO Manuals and Materials... The URSTA State ROADEO took place on September 24, 2011 in St. George, Utah. Thank you to St. George City's public transit, SunTran, for hosting a great Roadeo. We had 25 contestants from 13 different transit agencies. The first place winners in each category won a trip to the CTAA Roadeo in Baltimore, MD. We are proud to have these winners represent URSTA and the State of Utah.
